North Belmont Elementary is continuing its commitment to excellence in academics! We rank among the top 10 schools in Gaston County for having the highest student proficiency. We also met our academic growth expectations for 2024-2025. We are very proud of our students, teachers, and staff members for their hard work!

North Belmont Elementary serves students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and is proud to be one of only three elementary schools in Gaston County with a “B” rating. Ranked as the second-highest elementary school in the district, we have exceeded academic growth expectations for three consecutive years. At North Belmont, student success is at the heart of everything we do.

Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually.

Job Fairs set for June 11 and 18

Looking for a career that makes a difference? Gaston County Schools is hosting two upcoming job fairs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Gaston County Public Library, 1555 E. Garrison Blvd. 

The June 11 job fair will feature elementary teaching vacancies and bus driver opportunities, while the June 18 job fair will focus on secondary teaching vacancies, school nutrition positions, and bus driver opportunities.

Summer Hours

Gaston County Schools will operate on a four-day, 10-hour work week this summer. School and central level offices will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. All offices will be closed on Friday. Summer hours run through June 1-July 31.

Clubs and Activities

Our students participate in a variety of academic and leadership clubs, including Battle of the Books, Math Masters, robotics, literary events and the Singing Eagles program.
